The Role of Email Marketing in an Inbound Marketing World

Posted by Karen Rubin on Thu, Feb 03, 2011 @ 10:20 AM

While it was snowing away here in New England, I spent last week in sunny Las Vegas. I was there for the Marketing Sherpa Email Summit both as an attendee and as a speaker.

Maggie was kind enough to record my presentation and I spent this snowy morning putting in my slides. If you are interested in the future of email marketing and how email marketing fits into an inbound marketing approach, enjoy!

Thanks Karen. Great presentation. Very useful info, you really laid it out in a way that made is super easy to follow and absorb and now put into practice.

Gr8 ppt thk u!
one comment re blackberry not showing up @ piechart; your reasoning was due to their text-based email client till recently. While true, I believe another reason may be that till recently most blkbrry crowds were business users (corporate phones) and still are. As such they are not on inet mail but on blkbry srv which interfaces MS EXCH srv, as such wouldn't be surprised if the read transaction leaves an outlook/exch fingerprint.
Just a guess but as good as anybody's (or less than some :-)
thx again!
