Laughed so hard I cried. A great example of smart online video. TV would never air that. The comments beneath the Ad Age article say it all. Advertising people are out of touch. Kudos to the DDB for choosing to break the mold. I think it is more clever than crass.
I personally though that the ad was pretty funny. There are 2 big differences between this and the other recent risque ads.
#1. The target audience for beer is older than the target audience for Burger King or Quiznos.
#2. Most younger kids won't pick up on the joke, unlike this ad http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1815257/big_burger_king_commercial/ which even my 4 year old knows is a penis.
I can't decide if I'm the target audience for this ad. I love the humor and irreverence, I'd probably pass it along to friends. On the "tasteless" scale it's actually pretty mild methinks compared to what else you'll find in teh intertubes. But the only way I'd drink Bud Lime let alone Bud is if I had almost no other options. The ad isn't saying "Budweiser drinkers like anal sex", it's saying "Budweiser drinkers are irreverent and have a good sense of intelligent yet sophomoric humor." Does that audience drink Bud? Would they ever? *shrug*

Ha, I hadn't seen this yet but heard about "getting it in the can." Well I definitely laughed and when a company is able to loosen up a little and reach a key demographic, I appreciate them a little bit more. Although the joke might be a little overkill sometimes tactfully inappropriate is a good avenue to take. Thanks for sharing :)
