#aKittenforKaren - Help Me Get A Kitten!

When I was 5, I wanted a cat more than anything else in the world. I begged and begged and begged until finally my parents relented. They decided I could get a cat if I gave up sucking my thumb before my 6th birthday (because my parents weren't about making it easy for me!) I struggled for 6 weeks, but finally managed to kick the habit, and was rewarded with my cat Frisky.
I am yet again at a point in my life were I desperately want a kitten, but instead of convincing my parents, I have to convince my husband. Jared has been pushing back for a couple of years now, but last night I finally convinced him that the nagging and badgering was only going to get worse. Having learned from my parents, he isn't planning to go down without a fight, but has agreed that if I can get him 2,000 followers on Twitter, I can have a cat!
