Does Burger King's "Mind Blowing 7-incher" Go Too Far?

The small text reads "Fill your desire for something long, juicy and flame-grilled with the NEW BK SUPER SEVEN INCHER. Yearn for more after you taste the mind-blowing burger that comes with a single beef patty, topped with American cheese, crispy onions and the A1 Thick and Hearty Steak Sauce."

Do you think this goes too far?  Does it make you want to rush down to Burger King?

Thanks to Gawker and @lintzston for sharing this with me.

Not gonna lie, this makes me hungry. Of course I would never eat this thing, but maybe it will whet the appetite of the hungry masses and send them flocking to the BK Lounge.

Heck no. Looks like a belly ache to me.

What will satisfy me best, this or the Subway 12 inch?

12 inches just might be too much.

That's pretty bad, but not surprising. Quizno's has had success with their similarly innuendo laced Toasty Torpedo ads. It's not surprising that other companies will follow suit.

As far as oral sex references in ads go, we're way behind Russia http://digg.com/people/Russian_Milk_Ads

Had they wrapped it in Saran Wrap it would have been more responsible:)

I find that the double entendre is worn out, offensive, and for me creates disdain for Burger King in their constant appeal for shock value, and their seemingly desperate ways to grab attention.

Do only men eat at BK? Otherwise why would they risk alienating half their clientele? The girl looks like a blow up doll with the perfect ruby red DS lips. "It'll blow your mind away." "Satisfy your desire for something long and juicy?!" This kind of humor is barely funny in college. Oh and thank you BK for reminding me that eroded fonts are out.

Yeah, I think so. Is this the next trend? Campaigns have supassed subliminal to in your face advertising?

Thanks for all the comments folks!

Ian - isn't Russia also where they have women stripping as they tell the news?

Zaid - Love it :-)

David & Brianna - I have to say, this didn't make me any more likely to go buy a burger. I assume I am not the market they are targeting.

Decil - It seems like more and more advertisers are pushing the limits and bringing sex into their ads. I do believe that this is running internationally, and not in the US, where they have been much more open to these types of ads for awhile. It will be interesting to continue watching.
